Welcome
to our office! We welcome you as our patient and appreciate the opportunity
to provide you with dental services. We want you to know about our policies
and methods of practice. The more you know, the more we can be of service.
If you have any questions, however, please ask, because we do want to
be of help.
Everyone in this practice operates as a team member.
All of us have been trained as professionals, and we all take pride in
our professional capability.
Our
dental care is limited to the treatment of periodontal diseases, the care
of gums and supporting bone around the teeth. Our specialty also includes
the placement of dental implants. Although periodontal disease appears
most frequently in middle life, it can occur at any age. Treatment of
this disease will allow you to retain your natural teeth longer.
Without proper treatment, the destruction of the
supporting tissues of the teeth continues to the point where the teeth
may loosen and have to be removed. If you have been referred for dental
implants, we can assure you that we have treated numerous patients with
problems similar to yours. Our patients would be happy to share their
experiences with you.
You can make appointments by calling the office. Although we try our very best to stay on our schedule, emergencies sometimes arise. Please assist us by being on time for your appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call our office as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to be of service to our other patients.
We make a special effort to explain everything to you regarding your condition(s), medicine(s), treatment(s), and so forth. If you have questions or if something is not clear to you, please do not hesitate to ask for clarification. Our personnel, office procedures, and dental equipment have been chosen with much thought and care to provide you with quality dental services in a pleasant, efficient and friendly environment.
Charges for office
visits are determined by the time spent with you, and they vary according
to the complexity of the treatment you require. We will explain fees
for your treatment at your first visit.
Your first visit will include an examination
and evaluation. Our fee for this servicegenerally ranges between $60.00
and $75.00. If x-ray films are required, there will be an additional
charge. It is the policy of this office that these fees be paid in full
at the time the services are rendered unless other arrangements are
made. If you have insurance, we file your forms promptly and request
that you pay your portion when services are rendered.
You are responsible for your dental bill. We will be happy to help you complete and submit your insurance form for reimbursement when necessary; however, the agreement of the insurance company to pay for your dental care is a contract between you and the company.
The
material assembled here is both educational and informational, and it
will serve as a guide through your treatment of periodontal disease. Our
aim is to facilitate your understanding of the process.
Dentistry has many built-in anxieties. We would
like to make your periodontal treatment as pleasant as possible. We welcome
your suggestions concerning how we can treat you in a more comfortable
and efficient manner. Please advise us as to how we can serve you better.
